New Frozen Lunchables Offerings Are Being Dubbed 'Guy Dinner'
After social media coined the now-viral phrase "girl dinner," there's no man left behind (literally), as a new offering on the market is now being dubbed "guy dinner."
Earlier this summer, the term officially became popularized by Los Angeles-based social media creator Olivia Maher, who jokingly posted a TikTok video showcasing her "girl dinner," which was inspired by a humble assortment of snacks, light bites, and side dishes. It has since been associated with any meal haphazardly thrown together in a small-portion manner consisting of a layout of varying non-main course items.
Now, Lunchables is reportedly releasing a new offering that food blogger Markie Devo insists is perfect for the "guy dinner" title.
On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Instagram snack aficionado, who regularly posts about new releases for foodies, took to the sharing platform with an image of the new item to come: Lunchables Crispy Grilled Cheesies.
"The new frozen grilled cheese sandwiches feature new specially designed '360CRISP' that gives off a golden brown pan-like crisp outside and melty cheese inside. Prepared in the microwave for only 60 seconds," and will be available in two flavors, Original and Pepperoni Pizza, according to the upload's caption.
"Guy dinner?????♂?," he officially dubbed the meals.
Excited food-lovers took to the comment section with their reactions.
"Yummy ??. I will be on the hunt for these. I love anything Lunchables," one said, as another admitted, "Honestly surprised it took us this long to get here."
One Instagrammer agreed with the nickname, chiming in with, "Guy dinner ?????? love," while another, instead, refuted the title, adding, "It’s gonna be girl dinner bec [sic] I’m gonna eat the s*** outta that ??????."
"wow these look ??," someone else wrote.
The new release is said to be hitting shelves in "select grocery retailers" across the U.S. starting this month.
