Former Navy SEAL Skydives Into Cocktail Hour at His Wedding Reception
The groom took the plunge—literally. A former Navy SEAL decided to make a grand entrance at his wedding reception by skydiving into cocktail hour immediately after the ceremony on Sunday, October 8.
The groom, Steve Sanders, first met the bride, Jeanne Parsch, two years ago during a skydiving session–he was teaching, she was diving–making it a reasonable request to somehow implement their initial encounter into the actual wedding itself. “I took her for a tandem almost two years ago,” Sanders told NBC San Diego. “So we were considering us jumping into our wedding.”

The bride, though, decided it wasn’t the most feasible entrance given her white lace wedding gown. Instead, Sanders jumped out from the helicopter and landed perfectly on the field at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
“We literally landed two years ago when I went skydiving with him tandem,” Parsch said. “I landed and said ‘Hh my God, I love you.’ And he said ‘I’m single.’ And we’ve been together ever since.”
