Former 'Chicago PD' Actor Dishes on Personal Life, Posting Thirst Traps

Jesse Lee Soffer opens up about his habits and personal preferences in a new video.

Jesse Lee Soffer—the talent behind Chicago P.D.'s former Det. Jay Halstead—recently gave fans a very intimate look into his personal life.

The actor, 38, sat down with Variety reporters for a recent interview, sharing clips from the chat on social media over the weekend.

During the discussion, Soffer plays a round of the popular party game known as "This or That," where players have two options to pick from before explaining their decision.

Starting off easy, Soffer was asked if he prefers to stay and chill at home or if he would rather spend a night out on the town. "Stay in," he quickly replied, "I'm a total homebody, and a lot of my friends make fun of me, that I'm Mister Rogers; I go home, and I trade one cardigan for the other, take off my shoes and put on my slippers—just get real comfy."

The second two options he had to choose from were: "Call or text?" to which he responds, "Call. Texting is like... I hate it—I hate it."

Soffer continued, explaining that "so much gets lost in translation" when it comes to texting and that he finds calling his friends an easier way to communicate with and stay connected to them.

But the third question is where the interview took a turn to the flirty side, as the interviewer asked, "Slide in the DMs or post a thirst trap?"

"I don't think I've ever slid in the DMs," Soffer confesses.

The actor's statement continued, "Post a thirst trap? What a phrase. I don't think I post thirst traps—what's a [thirst trap]? I don't even know."

And with that, the clip cuts to multiple photos Soffer previously shared online, where he was either not wearing a shirt, flexing his muscles, or trying to allure the camera—the actual definition of a thirst trap.

As the video continues, Soffer offers up more information about his life than fans may have previously known, like the fact that he owns two motorcycles, likes to golf over going to the gym, and prefers a New York winter to a Chicago one—but I mean, that's just a no-brainer.
