Reel fun
The Village of Pecos is hosting a free Fishing Derby from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Monastery Lake. In addition to the main fishing activity, the event will feature games, prizes and more. Visitors can also catch the Pecos Craft Fair and Farmer's Market. Sheer magic
Head to El Rancho de las Golondrinas for the 19th annual Santa Fe Spring Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2. Learn about sheep sheering, horno bread making and more; while perusing the arts & crafts vendors and more. Tickets are $13-15, plus fees, at golondrinas.org. Children 12 and under are free. Las Golondrinas is located at 334 Los Pinos Road in Santa Fe.

In honor of Caribbean American Heritage Month, Manzano Mesa Park is hosting a Caribbean Celebration from noon to 6 p.m. The event will feature cuisine, music and more. Manzano Mesa Park is located at 501 Elizabeth St. SE.
Giving their regards to Broadway
The New Mexico Women's Chorus is bringing you their "Broadway: Awake and Aware!" concert featuring selections from Broadway hits. The concerts are at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the South Broadway Cultural Center, 1025 Broadway Blvd. SE; and 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Mesa View Methodist Church, 4701 Montano Road NW. Tickets are $12.50-$20 at artsandculture.cabq.gov.
Hit the trails
Help celebrate National Trails Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the Elena Gallegos Open Space. Help keep Albuquerque's trails clean and enjoy a free lunch. Registration is required at oneabqvolunteers.com. Elena Gallegos is located at 7100 Tramway Blvd. NE.

The Animal Welfare Department is offering free microchipping and custom pet tags for Albuquerque residents from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Saturday, June 1, and running through July 3. Visit the Westside Shelter at 11800 Sunset Gardens Road SW, or the Eastside Shelter at 8920 Lomas Blvd. NE.

Explore Corrales during the 13th annual Garden Tour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2. View a former alfalfa field turned xeriscaped yard, pollinator and storybook gardens and more.
