Festivals, parades, exhibits, wellness expos and more: celebrate Pride Month in Acadiana
June is Pride Month, where we celebrate the history of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) community.
Acadiana Queen Collective-Pride Acadiana, a community in Lafayette and surrounds area that connects and support the Acadiana LGBTQ+ community, will celebrate the LGBTQ community with parades, movie showcases, festivals, and a health and wellness expo. Check out the upcoming events below.
Pride Art Market
On Saturday, June 8th, join Acadiana Queer Collective on Jefferson street for the Pride Art Market. The event is from 4 PM- 8 PM in the 300 Block of Jefferson St.
Ariel Pride Night
In celebration of Pride Month SkyCraft is hosting a free aerial silks class. Whether you're a seasoned aerialist or a curious beginner, this inclusive event is open to all. The class is on Friday, June 14 for 6pm at 1201 General Mouton Ave, Lafayette, LA.
AQC Family Meetup
On June 22, from 10 AM to 12 PM, bring family and friends to 500 Girard Park Dr, Lafayette, LA. You can bring toys, balls, bubbles, and picnics for family meet-up days at the park. This event is scheduled throughout the year. Visit acadianaqueercollective.com for more information.
Pride Acadiana Film Showcase
Join AQC for the third annual Pride Acadiana Film Showcase, at the Acadiana Center For The Arts. The event is scheduled for June 28, from 7:30 PM to 9 PM at 101 W Vermilion St, Lafayette, LA. The film line up to be announced soon. Show will be 18+ due to mature themes.
Downtown Parade
Head downtown to enjoy the 4th annual Pride Acadiana parade. Experience the parade, queens, music, vendors, and more. The event is June 29, from 9 AM to 5 PM on Jefferson St. To volunteer, sign up to walk in the parade, or become a vendor visit acadianaqueercollective.com for more information.
Health and Wellness Expo
Meet LGBTQ+ affirming providers in the Acadiana Area at Safe Havynn, right after the Pride Parade on June 29, from 10 AM to 12 PM at 209 B, 209 Jefferson St Suite A.
