Fans think there's a hidden tribute to Manchester in a song on Ariana Grande's new album

Ariana Grande just dropped the lengths for all 15 tracks on her upcoming album Sweetener, and eagle-eyed fans have noticed a special detail. Fans already knew the names of the tracks, and the detail was potentially easy to miss. However, the Twitter account Pop Crave noticed something pretty significant: “Get Well Soon” is exactly five minutes and 22 seconds long.

The length is likely a nod to the Manchester bombing, which occurred on May 22nd, 2017 (5/22). Additionally, 22 innocent people lost their lives during the attack, which could add even more significance to the number 22.

The pop singer previously told Elle.com that “Get Well Soon” is about her physical response to the Manchester attack.

“When I got home from tour, I had really wild dizzy spells, this feeling like I couldn’t breathe,” she explained. “I would be in a good mood, fine and happy, and they would hit me out of nowhere. I’ve always had anxiety, but it had never been physical before. There were a couple of months straight where I felt so upside down.”

The song is “all the voices in my head talking to one another,” she revealed. Grande has also said in interviews that her upcoming album is her most personal.

“There are parts of my life that [fans] would love to know about, and hard times that I have been dealing with for the past year-and-a-half that they deserve to know about because they love me endlessly and care,” she told FADER. “I don’t want to hide any pain from them because I can relate to their pain. Why not be in it together?”

Sweetener drops August 17th, and we’re counting down the days.
