Heartfelt congratulations are in order for country music singer Kelsea Ballerini. The 29-year-old star received a Grammy nomination, and she was understandably overcome with just about every emotion in the book.
Despite her emotional reaction, this isn't Kelsea's first nomination. She was nominated in 2017 for Best New Artist and 2019 for Best Country Album. This year, she's nominated for Best Solo Country Performance.
Kelsea shared a video from a Nashville restaurant, where she was gathered with friends when she heard the news. The Grammy nominee shrieked, laughed, and cried, all within a matter of seconds, before starting to sing her nominated song, "Heartfirst." Kelsea captioned the video, "the song about following your heart no matter where it leads just for nominated for a GRAMMY. couldn’t be more cosmic. here’s to always jumping right in baby with your heartfirst. ????"
Kelsea was flooded with supportive comments from fans, who left comments like, "still screaming, crying, throwing up!!!!" "YASSSSS KB!!!!!!!! Im cryinngg! So so proud of you, and so well deserved! ????," and "Aw sweet girl! The best reaction ???? YOU ARE SO BRAVE and I admire your strength ?????? always lead with your heart first ??????"
The "half of my hometown" singer is fresh off a performance at the 56th annual CMA Awards, where she stole the show with her rollicking performance of "You're Drunk, Go Home" with Kelly Clarkson and Carly Pearce. Kelsea had no fewer than four stunning wardrobe changes for the event.
We'll be rooting for Kelsea when the Grammy winners are announced on February 5!
