Fans Rally Around Erin Napier After She Opened Up About Her Struggles with Breastfeeding
New mom-of-two Erin Napier is known for being open about parenting on Instagram, and she recently shared a new post that resonated with followers.
After giving birth to her second daughter, Mae, Erin shared her struggles with breastfeeding, and other moms are flooding the comments section.
Erin Napier is no stranger to sharing important parenting moments and honest insights on social media. Just a few days after announcing the birth of her second daughter, Mae, the HGTV Home Town host posted a vulnerable message on Instagram.
In her caption, Erin opened up about her previous struggles with breastfeeding, and encouraged other moms not to be so hard on themselves:
"Just a little encouragement for you mamas who weren’t able to breastfeed, like me. Don’t let anyone make you feel less than or belittled because of it. Helen was a formula baby and has no allergies, has always been a healthy weight, no big sicknesses, slept through the night by 6 weeks, smart as a whip, and is just as in love with and attached to her mama as her breastfed friends are to theirs. Formula is our friend at this house! Just watch as these little matchstick legs get chunky and strong"
Fans quickly flooded the comments section with messages of solidarity and support. One fan wrote, "Totally agree. My son never took to breastfeeding and I felt like I was pumping and feeding all the time and I was exhausted. I never produced enough breast milk so was always supplimenting with formula. Finally I had to stop. Some people were supportive while others judged. We can only do what we can do and we should support and another ??"
Another fan added, "Good for you... there should never be shame for women who can’t or choose not to breast feed??," and another wrote "And if you simply choose not to, that's absolutely fine as well! People need to take care of their own and stay out of the private business of others! ??"
Here's hoping Erin and sweet Mae are enjoying some precious quality time with their family!
