Hailee Steinfeld has stunned fans with her gorgeous outfit choice for the 96th Annual Academy Awards, which she confidently showed off while walking the red carpet ahead of the Sun., March 10 ceremony.
Many people who were eagerly awaiting the start of this year’s awards show commented excitedly on photos posted of the actress’ red carpet display, with some drawing comparisons between her gown and the look of a butterfly or a goddess.
As she arrived for the 2024 Academy Awards, Steinfeld posed on the red carpet wearing a plunging floor-length gown that billowed out from her waist as she walked. The gauzy sea foam green dress featured delicate gold detailing around the chest and torso, embellishments that matched the swaths of fabric she wore on both of her wrists. Steinfeld, 27, paired the gown with a matching sea foam green floor-length scarf that trailed behind her as she moved.

While standing in front of photographers on the red carpet, The Marvels actress took hold of the scarf and swooped its ends up and out on either side of her, creating a butterfly effect that dazzled fans on social media.

“Absolutely stunning,” one X user wrote as another tweeted, “Just look at her outfit wow.”
That simple reaction—“wow”—was repeated over and over as the internet took in the True Grit actress’ look.
Steinfeld arrived at the 2024 Academy Awards in support of 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, in which she voiced Gwen Stacy. The animated film, which is a sequel to the Oscar-winning 2018 movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, was nominated at this year’s awards show in the Best Animated Feature Film category.
