This Fan Theory Suggests Thanos Was Lying About Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War
An Avengers fan has revealed why Thanos has been lying about Gamora.
In a long Twitter thread, the fan explains her theory step by step. She thinks the films use of color shows how Thanos lies about his love for Gamora, and how she is better off without him.
She says the answer lies in the film's use of color-with orange symbolizing love and purple and darkness associated with Thanos.

"Gamora says in this film that everything she hates about herself, she got from Thanos," the fan wrote on Twitter.
"But without him? Without his influence, without his darkness swallowing her up, overshadowing everything in her life? She's love. She's a radiant orange light.
"So yeah. Can't wait to see Gamora get hers in Endgame.
"Because her love doesn't belong to Thanos. He doesn't control her anymore. Doesn't overshadow her anymore. There's nothing in her way now, just her love shining through."
Following the deadly snap at the end of Infinity War, Thanos was reunited with a young Gamora (Ariana Greenblatt) in a mysterious orange-hued location – which the VFX artists have revealed might not be what is seems.
Marvel's president Kevin Feige has recently opened up about the movie's devastating ending. "The way the world received Infinity War was amazing, it was exactly what we wanted," he said.
"I do remember people, on all of the movies we’ve made and I’m sure on many of the movies we’ll make in the future, whenever the good guy wins, which is often-good guy, good woman, good hero wins-they go, 'Eh, it’s kind of predictable. Good guy wins.'
"Well, sometimes that’s fun. But for years I remember thinking, 'I wonder what they’re going to do when they don’t?' Because we knew that was coming. And it couldn’t have been better. The reaction was the best. The reaction. Was. The. Best."
