Viva Fall River, New Bedford Food Tours bring back A Taste of Portugal
A Taste of Portugal is back for another summer, starting on Saturday, June 1.
Presented by Viva Fall River and New Bedford Food Tours, you can go on a gastronomical, cultural tour of Columbia Street in Fall River, during seven Saturdays this summer.
This three-hour tour covers approximately one mile, and guests can explore Portuguese food, drinks, and culture.
Tickets are $80 and include tastings, restaurant tips, and a fun guide.
This is a walking tour, and it includes some uphill walking. Tours take place rain or shine.

Father’s Day brunch at Independence Harbor
Independence Harbor, 10 Narrows Rd., Assonet, is hosting a Father’s Day brunch buffet on Sunday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be a roast sirloin carving station, a macaroni and cheese martini bar, bread and pastry buffets, and fresh fruit, salad and dessert buffets.
The menu will also include brown sugar and bourbon-glazed pork ribs, chicken saltimbocca, scrambled eggs, deep-fried apple-filled French toast, green bean casserole, and more.
Reservations and proper dress are required.
Tickets are $32 for adults, $19.95 for children under 10, and children under 3 get in for free. A 20% server gratuity is added to parties of six or more.

Father’s Day brunch buffet at White’s of Westport
There will be a Father’s Day brunch buffet at White’s of Westport, 66 State Rd., on Sunday, June 16, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
The menu will include fresh fruit, smoked salmon, berry salad, scrambled eggs, hash browns, chicken and waffles, sweet bread French toast, bbq ribs, seafood Mozambique, assorted pastries, and more.
There will also be a Bloody Mary bar.
Tickets are $33 for adults, and $17 for children 12 and under.

Pride SouthCoast-wide: LGBTQ+ Network plans festivals, parties across the region for June
Glitter Gala Dinner at The Tipsy Toboggan
Join The Tipsy Toboggan, 75 Ferry St., Fall River, for a Glitter Gala Dinner on Tuesday, June 4, at 6:30 p.m.
This celebration of glitter and glam kicks off Pride Month at The Tipsy Toboggan.
The menu will include special Pride dishes, and rainbow cake.
Purchase tickets prior to June 4 for this drag event, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a pair of Lana Del Rey concert tickets.
Hotel California Tequila will be there for a tasting.
Tickets are $15 per person for the show. The food and drink menu will be available for ordering.
This event is for guests 18 and older.

Soundtrack Sunday Brunch at Barrett’s Waterfront
The women of Destiny’s Child will be featured on the playlist this weekend at Soundtrack Sunday Brunch at Barrett’s Waterfront, 1082 Davol St., Fall River.
While you’re there, check out the jelly-filled mini toaster strudels. Available flavors are strawberry, blueberry, and apple.
Brunch will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Other Soundtrack Sunday Brunches for June will have the following themes: 90s throwbacks, country tailgate, Taylor Swift, and queens of pop.

Board game night at Bajah’s Cat Cafe
Bajah’s Cat Cafe, 137 Main Rd., Tiverton, is hosting a board game night on Thursday, June 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Play your favorite games, learn new ones, and meet some fellow enthusiasts.
Bajah’s will provide featured games, and you can bring your favorite game to teach others as well.
This free event is for guests 16 and older. Gamers of all levels are welcome.
