Excuse Me But Joe Jonas Skipped the 2019 Emmy Awards With Sophie Turner

So the 2019 Emmy Awards are happening right TF now, and you may have noticed that someone very important moderately relevant is missing: Joe Jonas. No, Joe wasn’t nominated for an Emmy for his outstanding starring work in your fantasies, but he is married to Sophie Turner who happens to be nominated for her work on Game of Thrones.

People were counting on Joe joining Sophie on the red carpet (WE WERE ROOTING FOR YOU, JOE), but for some reason he failed to show up as she walked the red carpet. Although to be honest, who needs him, Sophie looked incredible:

So, where was Joe? In Missouri, apparently, watching football with his friends:

BUT!!!! Joe did hit Instagram to pay his respects to the Queen of the North, writing, “I am so proud of you. You are nominated for an Emmy! You are incredible. I love you.”

Reminder: Sophie and Joe got married this summer at something fancy called Chateau Martinay in France, and here are some fun facts: Their cute dog was in the wedding, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams was maid of honor, and Joe said that there was going to be a “flag rugby game at the wedding and a flag football game. So if all the groomsmen show up with black eyes and broken arms, I’ll be very proud.”
