Everything to Stream on Netflix This June
Just in time for your summer staycation, Netflix’s list of June titles has arrived.
Begin your summer binge-fest with The Help, which arrives on June 1. The 2011 period drama features a cast of famous faces: Emma Stone, Viola Davis, and Octavia Spencer. Based on a 2009 novel of the same name by Kathryn Stockett, the film examines life during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
Other notable titles joining Netflix this month include the emotional drama Charlie St. Cloud, starring Zac Efron (June 16), and the documentary Athlete A, which follows the journalists who broke the story of the continued abuse at USA Gymnastics (June 24).
If you prefer television, a few Netflix original series make their return this month, including the final season of 13 Reasons Why and a fifth season of Queer Eye, which both premiere on June 5.
As always, the beginning of a new month brings a number of Netflix departures. Prepare for one final trip to 1960s New York, because every season of the critically acclaimed television series Mad Men will leave Netflix on June 9. Other titles scheduled for departure this month include Julie and Julia, The Duchess, and Kate & Leopold, which are all gone on June 30.
Below, check out this month’s must-watch titles, along with a complete list of Netflix arrivals and departures.
The Lake House
Available June 1
Keep your tissues handy for a viewing of The Lake House, a romantic drama starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Released in 2006, the tale of love found through letters left at a lake house has Bullock and Reeves reuniting on screen for the first time since their roles in Speed. For this movie, the pair portray Dr. Kate Forster (Bullock) and architect Alex Wyler (Reeves), a couple willing to overcome any obstacle in order to finally meet.
Clueless
Available June 1
No, you’re not totally buggin' — Clueless has finally arrived on Netflix. The classic ‘90s romantic comedy made waves with its style, unforgettable one liners, and a very young Paul Rudd. Starring Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, and Brittany Murphy, this tale of over-the-top highschoolers living in Beverly Hill has every ingredient needed for a perfect movie — great fashion, a little bit of heart, and some unexpected romance.
Lady Bird
Available June 3
Released in 2017, this coming-of-age film from Greta Gerwig earned numerous Oscar nominations and was selected as Best Motion Picture (Music or Comedy) at the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Starring Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, and Beanie Feldstein, the beloved picture centers on the fictional story of high school senior Christine McPherson (Ronan) and her relationship with her mother, played by Laurie Metcalf.
