Everything We Know About Tim Tebow's Competition Show 'Million Dollar Mile'

The world is seemingly inundated with athletic competition shows, from American Ninja Warrior and Ultimate Beastmaster to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's new The Titan Games. But it's about to get one more: CBS's Million Dollar Mile hosted by Tim Tebow.
While Tebow's professional football career may be over, his entertainment one looks to just be getting started. The meme-ified former NFL quarterback will anchor Million Dollar Mile, which features an obstacle course that will test everyday competitors' physical and mental might.
When does Tim Tebow's Million Dollar Mile premiere?
CBS announced that that its new competition series Million Dollar Mile premieres March 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with a ten-episode run in its first season. It will follow another fresh reality program from the network, The World’s Best, hosted by James Corden.
What exactly happens in it?
Million Dollar Mile isn't your typical mile run, nor your typical obstacle course. The show will shut down streets in a major city to erect its intensely challenging course, which contestants will compete to finish for a chance to win $1 million each time they tackle it.
Inanimate obstacles aren't the only things standing in their way. Billing its race as "the most challenging course ever designed," Million Dollar Mile will also bring on a group of elite athletes tasked with one mission: stop the competitors from winning at all costs.
Who's in it (and behind it)?
Tim Tebow, of course, will be the host and face of Million Dollar Mile guiding both competitors and viewers through the physically draining shenanigans. But the show comes with other big guns involved. Sports analysts Matt “Money” Smith and Maria Taylor will provide play-by-play commentary.
And LeBron James has an important hand in things. The NBA star's production company with Maverick Carter, SpringHill Entertainment, is producing the series alongside Big Brother producer Fly on the Wall Entertainment and Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television.
So don't expect Million Dollar Mile to be any reality slouch. And maybe Tebow will once again become a familiar face on your television screen each week.
