An Essex Pub Is Renamed After Prince Louis
Prince Louis is only a week old, but he's already making an impression on the U.K. According to the Mirror, a pub in Braintree, Essex was just renamed in honor of the newest member of the royal family.
The public house, which was previously known as The Oaklands Inn, is reportedly the first to pay homage to Prince Louis. After several days of waiting for the young royal's name to be announced, "The Prince Louis" was finally painted in gold lettering along the front of the restaurant.

In preparation for the arrival of the newest royal, the restaurant underwent a renovation complete with a remodeled bar and upgraded dining spaces. The redesigned pub will reopen later this month.
The establishment, which is owned by the McMullen & Sons Brewery, is known for their tradition of naming British pubs after the children in the royal family. Following the birth announcement of Prince George in 2013, McMullen's named a pub in Milton Keynes after the oldest royal baby. They were also the first to name a pub after Princess Charlotte in 2015.
"We are thrilled to be opening in McMullen's newest pub, our team have commenced training and were excited as us to know the name of the baby and pub," general managers Claire and Aaron Wood shared in a blogpost on the company's website.
Prince Louis was born on Monday, April 23 weighing in at 8lbs 7 oz and is reportedly doing well. He's had a steady stream of visitors over the past week including the Queen, who arrived at Kensington Palace via helicopter.
