Tonight, television’s biggest stars gathered at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles for the 71st annual Emmy Awards. During the ceremony, Patricia Arquette won the statuette for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for playing Dee Dee Blanchard in The Act.
Other nominees included Margaret Qualley for Fosse/Verdon, Patricia Clarkson for Sharp Objects, Marsha Stephanie Blake for When They See Us, Vera Farmiga for When They See Us and Emily Watson for Chernobyl.
The Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category has been around since 1975. Previous winners include Merritt Wever for Godless, Laura Dern for Big Little Lies, Regina King for American Crime, Kathy Bates for American Horror Story: Coven, Ellen Burstyn for Political Animals, Jessica Lange for American Horror Story, Maggie Smith for Downton Abbey and Julia Ormond for Temple Grandin.
