Educators complete social-emotional learning training
Educators with the Yuba County Office of Education recently completed a five-day social-emotional learning training program, officials announced.
The Conscious Discipline Academy was hosted in collaboration with Marysville Joint Unified School District and presented by Angela Fraley, an early education expert who teaches practical techniques to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
According to officials, the Academy hosted approximately 135 educators from various schools.
Over the course of five days, educators engaged in interactive sessions, learning new strategies to promote social-emotional growth and academic success for their students. By implementing Conscious Discipline, faculty members will be equipped to create positive classroom environments that cater to the holistic development of every child, officials said.
"We are thrilled to have hosted such a transformative academy for our educators," Yuba County Superintendent of Schools Rob Gregor said in a statement. "The knowledge and skills gained during these five days will undoubtedly make a significant impact in our classrooms, benefiting both teachers and students."
