East Jordan Freedom Festival brings fair fun despite rainy conditions
EAST JORDAN — The East Jordan Freedom Fest was back last week for a series of family-friendly events.
There were five days of events scheduled for the East Jordan Freedom Festival, with a fair, fireworks, parades and more.
While rainy conditions made the festival work out quick backup plans, like location changes, many still came out for the multi-day festival.

Flash flood warnings were on the forecast for the weekend, but while the rain came down, riders kept lining up to hop on the different attractions at the carnival. Some sought out shelter underneath building awnings downtown.
Different bands performed sets during the freedom festival, and Miss East Jordan and the Miss East Jordan Runner Up helped run the button drawings, where people could win prizes.
There was a cornhole tournament during the event as well.
