It’s been a long road (filled with street racing and high-stake chases), but one of Hollywood’s longstanding celebrity rivalries seems to have been snuffed out. Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel’s Fast and Furious feud is apparently over — and the two even seem to be friends now. Maybe the “family is everything” mindset of Diesel’s onscreen alter-ego Dominic Toretto finally wore off on the embittered co-stars.

While we may never know exactly when these two decided to start playing nice, Johnson made it clear on Friday that they’re on much better terms these days. Taking to Instagram, he paused mid-workout to thank fans for their support of his Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw. But before signing off, he threw in an unexpected message for Diesel. “Lastly, but not least, I want to thank brother Vin for your support of Hobbs & Shaw,” he said, continuing, “What a wild ride this has been. 10 years ago, when you and I spoke and you invited me into the Fast and Furious family — I’m grateful for that invite.”

Johnson went on to express gratitude and excitement over the “massively successful buildout and expansion” they’d accomplished. “We did it the right way, we did it the smart way, and again, brother, I appreciate your support,” Johnson said to Diesel.

Kind of makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, doesn’t it?

Fans of the long-running franchise have been following the pair’s feud since it reportedly sparked over a creative direction disagreement on the set of 2016’s The Fate of the Furious. In an interview with Rolling Stone last April, Johnson said their friction boiled down to “a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating.”

So, what made him change his tune? As it turns out, it was Diesel’s doing. In Johnson’s new video, he alludes to a post made by Diesel on Aug. 25. During that post, Diesel actually opened the door to reconciliation by giving a “real shout-out” to Johnson for the way he expanded the Fast and Furious universe with Hobbs & Shaw. To his credit, he also congratulated Johnson on his recent wedding to Lauren Hashian and on their “beautiful family.”

Way to let bygones be bygones, boys. Now, can we get confirmation on Johnson returning to the original franchise? Because he certainly seemed to drop a big hint when he signed off, teasing, “Of course, all roads lead to one thing. I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.”
