Dune Part 2 Runtime: How Long Is The Dune Sequel?
The long-awaited return to the brilliant mind of Denis Villeneuve is fast approaching, with just a little under two months to go until Dune: Part Two hits the big screens.
It has now been revealed that the film's runtime will be 166 minutes. That's 11 minutes longer than 2021's Dune, which tells the first part of the story, following a noble family who become embroiled in a war for control over the galaxy's most valuable asset while its heir becomes troubled by visions of a dark future.
Dune: Part Two's runtime makes it Denis Villeneuve's longest film to date. It is set to follow Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
It's got a stellar cast lined up, including returning cast members Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsg?rd, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling and Dave Bautista.
If that wasn't enough, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux, Tim Blake Nelson and Christopher Walken will also join the fun this time around.
Dune: Part Two hits theaters March 1, 2024 after the release was delayed due to the strikes. It will also screen in 70mm IMAX.
