Dragon’s Dogma 2 Vocation Frustration: Where To Get an Archistaff and Greatsword

Once you arrive in Vernworth in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you will likely visit the Vocation Guild and speak with Klaus, the armorer there. This is where you can change vocation in the game, but some vocations, other than the starting four, will require you to complete quests to unlock.
At the Vernworth Vocation Guild, Klaus will ask you to obtain an Archistaff and Greatsword to unlock the Sorcerer and Warrior vocations, respectively. This will start the Vocation Frustration quest.

Trevo Mine Location in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Even though you can buy Archistaves and Greatswords from certain vendors, the best way to complete this quest is to grab the two weapons for free in the open world.

Luckily, you can find both an Archistaff and a Greatsword in Trevo Mine, located west of Vernworth. One of your pawns may know the location, so you can just prioritize the Vocation Frustration quest and use the “Go!” command to have your pawn lead the way.

Once you enter the mine, go straight ahead and then to your left at the first fork.

You will reach a more open cavern, where you’ll have to defeat some goblins. There’s a treasure chest to the right of the passage that leads further into the mine. Open the chest to find a Two-Hander, a common iron Greatsword that will allow you to unlock the Warrior vocation.

Continue further into the cave to find the other weapon that you need.
Archistaff Location in Trevo Mine - Dragon’s Dogma 2
A short and narrow passage will lead you to another much wider cavern, which has several levels and bridges connecting its sides. Kill the goblins and descend to the lowest level of that chamber.

To the right of the campfire, there’s a passage that will lead you to another chest, where you will find Grievous Horns, the Archistaff you need to unlock the Sorcerer vocation.

Clearing the Trevo Mine of all goblins is also part of the Monster Culling quest, which Brant gives you in Vernworth.

So, after obtaining the Archistaff, you should continue exploring the other side of the mine to slay the remaining goblins.
Unlock the Sorcerer and Warrior Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To unlock the Sorcerer and Warrior vocations, you must deliver the Archistaff and Greatsword you just got from Trevo Mine to Klaus, the guildhead at Vernworth, where you started the quest.

Klaus will be waiting for you at the Vernworth Vocation Guild, in the capital’s Merchant Quarter. Give him the two weapons, and you will unlock the new vocations.
