‘Dr. Barbie’ lists posh Park Ave. ‘dreamhouse’ for $14.5M
Top dermatologist Gervaise Gerstner — dubbed Dr. Barbie by some of her high-profile clients, which include actress Stephanie March — is listing her posh Park Avenue pad for $14.49 million.
While the five-bedroom residence doesn’t have its own mini-med spa, it does feature interiors by renowned AD100 designer Sara Story.
The full-floor prewar condo at 823 Park Ave. — between 75th and 76th streets — is a roomy 4,184 square feet.
With four exposures, the fourth-floor spread is sunlit and move-in ready. Gerstner bought the apartment for $13.35 million in 2015.
Now that she’s an empty nester, Gerstner told Gimme, it’s time to scale down.
“One of my daughters is now living in LA and the other is in college in Nashville, so I don’t need as much entertaining space as I once did,” she said. “But I absolutely love this neighborhood and can never leave it. There’s nothing better than being so close to Central Park in the best city in the world. I’m looking forward to downsizing and starting a new chapter in my life.”
The five-bedroom home opens from a private elevator landing to a living room with a fireplace.
There’s also an adjacent den with an additional fireplace, along with a formal dining room and eat-in, white marble chef’s kitchen with a built-in windowed banquet. A service elevator also opens into the kitchen for easy access to deliveries.
A private bedroom wing includes a main bedroom suite. Design details feature lacquered doors and hardwood floors. The 13-story building dates to 1912 and comes with 11 residences. Amenities include a doorman, a resident manager, a gym and private storage.
The listing brokers are Douglas Elliman’s Anna DeLuca, Shannon Dunne and Robbie Franklin.
