Panera Is Officially Bringing Double Bread Bowls Nationwide—But Only For A Limited Time
If you connect with that Oprah "I love bread" meme on a spiritual level, BOY do I have some good news for you. You know that big announcement Panera teased yesterday? It lives up to the hype. After a limited test run this summer, Panera is at long last bringing double bread bowls nationwide. And since nothing says true love quite like sharing a heap of carbs together, they're dropping this VALENTINE'S DAY! As in, tomorrow! Please contain your excitement.
Since Philadelphia customers were largely the only ones who got to try these bad boys, let me break down what we're working with here. The double bread bowls are basically one giant sourdough loaf with two bowls carved inside, so you can share soup with your beloved, or just, like, eat a ton of soup on your own, and not have to choose between your two favorite flavors. It's a magical invention, so it makes perfect sense Panera has decided to make this available nationwide.
There is one catch, though. While the bowls will be in restaurants across the country and available to order via delivery, they're not staying around for very long. Per Panera's press release, they'll be on menus through the end of the month (February 28, to be exact).
To note, if you order one of these in a restaurant, you can pick from any of the soups on the menu that day to fill your bread bowl with (they start at $9.99, BTW). If you order online or via the app, though, there are five combos to choose from:
Chicken Noodle and Broccoli Cheddar
Creamy Tomato and Broccoli Cheddar
Broccoli Cheddar and Broccoli Cheddar
Bistro French Onion and Broccoli Cheddar
Ten Vegetable and Creamy Tomato
Go forth and eat all the soup!!
