Award-winning actress Sharon Gless will be discussing her book, "Apparently There Were Complaints," at the Palm Springs Public Library Foundation's Pride on the Page Festival Nov. 5, 2022.

The Palm Springs Public Library Foundation will present Pride on the Page, a two-day book festival Nov. 4–5 as an official event of Greater Palm Springs Pride and will feature more than 40 authors, including Rebecca Walker, Omar Shariff Jr., Steven Rowley and Michael Craft. The festival will conclude with actress Sharon Gless in conversation with Peter Paige, her former "Queer as Folk" co-star. They will discuss her book “Apparently There Were Complaints” and other topics.

The event will conclude with a book signing Nov. 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the historic Plaza Theatre in downtown Palm Springs. Daytime events are free but the Saturday evening event is a fundraiser for the Palm Springs Public Library Foundation. The Friends of the Desert Hot Springs Library will hold a fall book sale at the library on Nov. 3 from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be books for all ages starting at $3 per bag. There will also be an opportunity drawing. Those who come in costume will receive one free ticket for the drawing. Proceeds benefit the Desert Hot Springs Library programs.
