Donkey Named Jenny Totally Steals the Show at the Oscars
Everyone was so in love with her.
In a star-studded night devoid of celeb-slapping and various other controversies, one particular moment stood out for both Oscar attendees and those folks at home attempting to keep their eyes open due to daylight savings time zombie-fying us all, and that was when an adorable miniature donkey named Jenny took the stage.

In his presentation, Kimmel claims the donkey is the same donkey who made her appearance in the Oscar-nominated for best picture, best actor, best supporting original screenplay and every other category basically (Nine nominations total!) The Banshees of Inisherin. However, entertainment outlet Vulture is saying not so fast, this donkey was not the real Jenny who appeared in the movie, but just some rando donkey. The article states, "But in a shocking twist, a source tells Vulture that it wasn’t the real Jenny attending the Oscars alongside Kimmel: It was “just a random donkey.” Gasp.
Social media users were still charmed by this donkey, and @Amyconlin comments, "I want Colin to look at me the way he looks at Jenny." @G7m100 adds, "Jenny would have been a better host than Kimmel." @lenedolph replies, "He is sooooo cute. I’m talking about the donkey!"
Vulture goes on to explain, her former trainer, Rita Moloney of Fircroft Animal Actors, told Vulture in October. “He (Martin McDonagh, Banshee's writer and director) asked if she could just do this movie and then retire. Now she’s just a happy donkey running with other miniature donkeys. I only saw her about three weeks ago down in County Carlow, and she’s looking fine, fit, and healthy. She’s just living the dream.”
