How Does The GOAT Stay Sharp Over The Winter?
Most places in the world aren't conducive to mountain biking year round. Even in the more tropical zones rain prevails over winter months severely limiting the amount of riding to be had.
So, how do the best of the best, like Brandon Semenuk, stay sharp over the winter? For reference, Brandon lives fairly far north in British Columbia. Not exactly an ideal winter destination.
Well, take a look at this clip below for a clue as to how he keeps the blade honed in the off season.
Nothing keeps you hot on larger slopestyle bikes - or much larger downhill bikes than practicing all winter on the bike equivalent of a butterfly knife - the BMX.
Brandon has had a love affair with the tiny bikes for most of the latter half of his career, even releasing a street edit a few years back that was strikingly impressive, especially for a mountain biker by trade.

The rumor was that while he was filming ARRAY up at Legacy Bike Park this spring, Brandon was down at the Kalispell skate park nearly every night riding the 24". It's remarkable he found time to do that while building the line from dawn till dusk every day and practicing for the shots but that's why he's the GOAT.
Watch the aforementioned BMX edit where Brandon takes over the legendary street spots of Barcelona in Street Sweeper below.
