What Does F.P.'s New Sheriff Role Mean for Jughead & the Serpents on ‘Riverdale’?
On last night’s episode of Riverdale, Hermione (Marisol Nichols) appointed F.P. (Skeet Ulrich) as the town’s new sheriff. So, what does this mean for Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and the Serpents?
Here’s what you need to know: Chapter Forty-Five of Riverdale, titled “The Stranger,” gave us some insight into what Hermione is up to. After telling F.P., “It’s time,” she hired him as Riverdale’s newest sheriff.
Sure, the job might seem like a good thing for the Serpents, but it’s not. Why? Because the Lodges are behind it.
In the beginning of the episode, Hermione debated with Hiram (Mark Consuelos) over who should get the job, considering they want someone they can “trust” in the position. Although F.P. is a longtime acquaintance of the Lodges, the decision doesn’t seem like a no-brainer, especially since the Serpents are now offering their protection to Veronica (Camila Mendes).
Is it a set-up? Or is F.P. more involved than we originally thought? Guess we’ll have to wait until Riverdale returns to the CW next Wednesday, January 30, at 8 p.m.
