Did You Know Glenn Close Used to Date a 'Blue Bloods' Star?

Legendary actress Glenn Close is nominated for an Academy Award for Lead Actress for her portrayal of Joan Castleman in The Wife. She plays a quiet woman who is long devoted to her husband’s secrets.
In real life, Glenn, now 71, has been married three times and has had three long-term relationships.
Glenn first married at the age of 22 in 1969. People reported she wed Cabot Wade, a musician who belonged to the same musical performing troupe. The marriage lasted just two years before the couple divorced, and Glenn decided to attend The College of William & Mary.
By the early 1980s, Glenn was both a star of the screen and the stage. She appeared in her first movie, The World According to Garp, at the age of 35 and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Around the same time, she lived with Broadway actor, and now Blue Bloods star, Len Cariou in New York City.
Film roles kept coming to Glenn as did love interests. In 1984, she married businessman James Marlas. They divorced three years later.
By the time Glenn appeared in Fatal Attraction in 1987, she was in a committed relationship with producer John H. Starke. The couple had a daughter, Annie, in 1988. They split in the early 1990s but remained friends as they co-parented their daughter.
Annie, now 30, describes her childhood in Bedford, New York as idyllic. Although she’s an actress now (she played the younger version of Joan Castleman in The Wife), she praises her parents for keeping her from the chaos of Hollywood.
“I had a profoundly normal childhood,” Annie told People. “I’m a little boring. I was a barefoot kid, outdoorsy, never had siblings, but I had cats and dogs, and really surrounded by nature. I credit my parents for keeping me grounded and keeping it normal. I still have my oldest friends since high school. It was a wonderful place to grow up.”
By the early 1990s, tabloids were obsessed with Glenn’s love life. She was linked to several celebrities, including a professional hockey player and a few actors. The gossip stopped when Glenn became engaged to Steven Beers, a stage carpenter.
Although the couple never tied the knot, Glenn did find romance again. She married businessman David Evans Shaw in 2006. The couple divorced in 2015, according to E! News.
Now Glenn is very open about the new guy in her life-Sir Pippen of Beanfield, her fluffy Havanese who is a rising Instagram star. Sir Pip has been on The View with Glenn, the set of her new movie The Wife, and has even walked the red carpet with her.

Sir Pip has also been using his Instagram to wish Glenn good luck with her multiple award nominations for The Wife. This will be the seventh time Glenn has been nominated for an Oscar, and we bet Sir Pip has some big plans in mind for if she wins!
