Did You Catch This Blast from the Past Cameo on ‘Roseanne’?
If you were caught up in Jackie’s confusing living situation during Tuesday night’s episode of Roseanne, you may have missed this blast from the past cameo.
This week’s episode, titled “No Country for Old Women,” featured a surprise guest star, actor Christopher Lloyd, as Bev’s (Estelle Parsons) boyfriend Lou. You probably recognize him as Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Switchblade Sam from Dennis the Menace and—you guessed it—Doc Brown from Back to the Future.
In the episode, Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) walk in on Bev and Lou canoodling at Becky’s (Lecy Goranson) house. It concludes with Roseanne adjusting his compression socks before driving him back to the old folks’ home.
Sure, the cameo was a nice surprise, but we can’t help but wonder if Lou’s appearance was inspired by Back to the Future or if it’s purely a coincidence.
Either way, we’re not complaining. Roseanne airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
