Di Petsa RTW Spring 2024
Spring 2024 was all about Venus for Greek designer Dimitra Petsa, who backstage referenced “The Birth of Venus” and the Venus retrograde that took place this summer.
“It’s all about finding love and how we relate to love in adulthood. When we’re babies, we experience unconditional love, but as you grow up, the love is more conditional, it’s about finding self love,” she said after the show, wearing a long white wet trompe-l’oeil illusion dress that can be found in textbooks about ancient Greece.

Petsa partook in a performance at the start of the show, where Venus was born and adorned by her white goddesses.
For such a young designer, it was refreshing to see that her ideas are already developing and she’s not relying purely on her famous wet look worn by the likes of Gigi Hadid, FKA Twigs, Kim Kardashian, Zendaya and Doja Cat.
Petsa expanded her category by presenting a series of wet look swimsuits in gold, shiny silver, khaki and black, which in some lights could have been mistaken for leather.
Crystals, glass beads and golden bells were subtly incorporated into the collection.
Knitted dresses made from cotton discards were distressed to give them a sea moss effect, hinting that the designer has plenty more tricks up her sleeve. She also teased new prints featuring seafoam and crystals.
Di Petsa is already stocked at Selfridges, Farfetch, The Webster and LN-CC, with a large number of orders coming from the made-to-order side of the business, which includes bridalwear, occasionwear and pregnancy.
