Demi Lovato to Offer Free Therapy & Wellness Workshops to Fans on Upcoming Tour
Demi Lovato is empowering her fans to put their mental health first in a meaningful new way.
The singer and mental-health advocate announced yesterday on Good Morning America that she plans to provide concert attendees at her upcoming “Tell Me You Love Me” tour with free therapy sessions, wellness workshops and motivational speaking panels.
“It’s basically like a therapy session before the concerts and we have speakers from all over and we’re also helping out with different charities from around the country,” Lovato explained. “So it’ll be an incredible, very moving and inspiring experience.”
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer has spoken candidly about her struggle with bipolar disorder and addiction in the past and felt compelled to allow fans the same access to treatment. She said, “I make it my life goal to inspire other people. I just know how important it is to use my platform to help others and to share my story in hopes that it inspires people to either get into recovery or better themselves. Whatever it is, I just want people to know they’re not alone and I’m here for them.”
The “Say You Love Me” tour kicks off on February 26, and all ticket holders will have the chance to sign up for therapy, workshops and small panels led by CAST treatment facility founder and CEO Mike Bayer and other special guest speakers.
Bless, Demi. Bless.
