Demi Lovato Feels Free of Her Demons Two Years After Overdose
Demi Lovato shared an emotional post reflecting on her life, two years after her overdose.
Her post comes one day after she announced that she and Max Ehrich are engaged.
Demi Lovato is “feeling so grateful” two years after her drug overdose. She took to Instagram to reflect on how her life has changed since she was rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in July 2018.
“Today is my miracle day,” she began. “I’m so blessed to have one. It represents how the Drs at Cedar’s Sinai saved my life. How my life has become something beyond my wildest dreams.”
This reflection comes one day after she announced that her now-fiancé, Max Ehrich, popped the question. “I knew I loved you the moment I met you,” she wrote in her engagement announcement. “I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents), flaws and all.”

In her post about her overdose, she explained how much her life has changed. “Only 2 years after that terrible day, I’m engaged to the love of my life,” she continued. “I can genuinely say I feel free of my demons. Each and every one.”
Despite being in love, she admitted that her true security has come from her faith. “I’ve done more work on myself than I have in my entire life,” she wrote. “Things that used to keep me down for weeks or even months pass like tropical storms because my relationship with God has provided me infinite security.”
We love you, Demi.
