DAR seeks logo for local America 250 celebration
MOULTRIE — Amateur and professional artists are invited to design a logo to use for America 250 activities in Colquitt County next year, when the United States celebrates its semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026.
The Moultrie-Colquitt County America 250 Committee is holding this contest, which deadlines on Aug. 10, 2024. The winning design will be announced during Constitution Week, Sept. 17-23.
The winning design must have the following components:
1. An image of the Colquitt County Courthouse in its entirety or the cupola.
2. The words “Moultrie-Colquitt County.”
3. The phrase “America 250, 1776-2026.”
4. The colors red, white and blue.
The Betsy Ross flag may be included in the design but is optional. The design should be in color but does not have to be a finished design. The committee reserves the right to “polish” the design. Please keep in mind that the logo will be used on a variety of items like t-shirts, caps, decals and other promotional items.
The design becomes the property of the Moultrie-Colquitt County America 250 Committee.
