Dairy Queen Is Selling DIY Cupcake Kits, So You Can Decorate With Icing and Sprinkles
Dairy Queen is known for its soft-serve creations, so naturally, they have to incorporate it into its cupcakes. The frozen treats consist of layers of vanilla soft-serve and chocolate soft-serve with a fudge crunch center. Now you can finish off the tasty dessert by making your own masterpiece, thanks to the new DIY ice cream cupcake kits.
Dairy Queen locations across the country are offering the cupcake kits as a fun family activity … that you just so happen to get to eat. It appears that what’s in each kit is up to each location, but in general, it looks like the kits include four cupcakes, one, two, or three icing-filled bags, and one, two, or three varieties of sprinkles. Both kids and adults will have a blast piling on the icing and completing it with sprinkles. Now this is what you call an ice cream party!
Again, just like the contents of the DIY cupcake kits, the prices will vary by location. Based off the photos from Facebook and Instagram, the kits can range anywhere from $10 to $16, with multiple hovering around $12.99.
Since this isn’t a company-wide menu offering, try not to get your hopes up too high here. Give your local Dairy Queen a call in advance to find out if they’re available, and if they are, obviously you have to snag a kit for a dessert surprise.
Although this appears to be the first time Dairy Queen has released kits like these, there’s no telling how long they’ll be around for. But who knows — maybe they’ll be such a hit that they’ll be a regular thing you can order in advance. Something tells us we’ll want these for every birthday party in the future!
