Daenerys Would NOT Approve of Emilia Clarke's New Hair (but We're Crushing on It Hard)

If we know anything about the Mother of Dragons’s personal style, it’s that she’d fight tooth and nail before she let someone chop off her long, flowing platinum locks. But Emilia Clarke never bends the knee (not even to her Game of Thrones alter ego), which is why we think she decided to give her hair a trim this morning before her appearance on Good Morning America. 

The Solo: A Star Wars Story actress posted a boomerang to Insta of her new sleek, blunt bob behind the scenes at GMA, and had some choice puns for her new ’do in the caption: “VERY VERY HAPPY ABOUT #soloastarwarsstory COMING OUT ON FRIDAY!!!!!!! In other news this FABULOUS new bob is the chicest way to style out some burnt out mother of dragons split ends… #everypunintended #whenyourendslooklikeawildlingsitstimetochop…”

She also gave a shoutout to her stylist, Jenny Cho, who performed the split-end removal in the early hours of Wednesday morning after the star appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday.

While it’s only a small tweak to her already-platinum bob, we’re loving the angled dramatic cut that hits right at her jawline and gets shorter toward the back of her neck.
