Cue the Tears: Ellen Pompeo Says the ‘Grey's Anatomy' End Is Near
We’re going to need a doctor for our broken heart, because Grey’s Anatomy will soon be drawing to a close.
Ellen Pompeo, aka Dr. Meredith Grey, told Us Weekly, “There is an end and it’s nearing.” The actress went on to say that she and executive producer Shonda Rhimes will make the decision together. “We’re getting there,” she told the magazine.
The ABC show is in its 14th season, and Pompeo, 48, has already signed on for seasons 15 and 16, but says she’s ready to be home with her kids. “I want to be more involved in my kids’ lives as they get older. And they need me more, and this world is such a crazy place,” the actress and mom of three said.
Welp, we can’t say we didn’t see it coming, but we also can’t say we aren’t sobbing over our keyboards right now. (OK, OK, maybe not sobbing, but still…)
Paging Dr. Grey…we’re going to miss you.
