Be the Coolest Mom on the Block Thanks to These 25 Creative Halloween Costumes
The kids’ Halloween costumes? You’ve been planning them for weeks. But unless you are going the family costume route or teaming up with your significant other on a couple’s costume, we’re guessing that your own costume may have fallen far down the to-do list. Not to worry—we've rounded up some of the best Halloween costumes for moms out there so that you can get in on the fun too as you escort the littles on their trick-or-treat adventure.
Now, we already know you’re a superhero. Between toddler and tween wrangling, crafting spooky decorations, and planning fun family Halloween activities—or not, because, you know, everything else—you don that cape all the time behind the scenes, but October 31 is the one day of the year you can embrace your secret identity in public. However, if you’re looking to step out of that role, you’ll find plenty of inspiration here. From budget-friendly solo styles and pun costumes to oh-so-adorable mother-daughter or mother-son matching looks, you'll be the best-dressed parent in the neighborhood.

Make the Costume: Cut a quilt into a trapezoid shape; sew a corresponding color bias tape around the edges to finish. At the top corners of the trapezoid, sew a corresponding color ribbon for ties. Use a scrap of the quilt to cut out an oversize letter "Q" and blanket stitch it to the front of a T-shirt. Blanket stitch around the edges of a felt superhero mask. Round out the look with a tailor tape measure bracelet adorned with sewing charms. Glue a metal thimble to a silver ring blank to create a superpower ring.
