Conversation Heart Cookies Are The New Chocolate Chip Cookies

I know I don't need to sell any kids on these cookies because when we made them in the Delish test kitchen, all of the kids lost their minds. And although I (so pathetically) tried to be stern and said they could each have one, somehow, the whole plate disappeared in less than 10 minutes.

I do, however, need to sell some parents on these cookies. Yes, conversation hearts are frighteningly sweet, and no, they don't taste as good as 10 year-olds think. But remember that you were once a second grader, crazy for these colorful, chalky hearts. And know that these cookies, sweet as they might be, are insanely adorable and taste way better than a box of conversation hearts would taste on their own.
To make them, mix store-bought dough with sprinkles, roll it into balls, roll the balls in sugar, then press the candies into the dough. THAT'S IT. They're almost too easy not to make.
