Company confirms Salem Sonic Drive-in location closure on Lancaster Drive SE

The Sonic Drive-In location in Salem is officially closed, according to the company.

Brent Reams, a public relations manager for Sonic Drive-Ins, confirmed in an email the Lancaster Drive SE Sonic location is closed.

"We want to thank the community for their patronage and encourage them to visit us at the next nearest location at 30129 SW Boones Ferry Road in Wilsonville," Reams wrote.

The drive-in burger restaurant's Keizer location has also been sitting dormant for a few months with no signage or activity. On the company location finder, the location is listed as "temporarily closed." Flyers seen on the windows earlier this month stated the location would be “transitioning to new ownership.”

Sonic did not answer inquiries on the future of either locations from the Statesman Journal.
