This Color Is Having a Moment in the Royal Family

What's in a color choice? A lot, if you're a member of the royal family. While the world may have their eyes turned to shades of ivory this past weekend as we admired Meghan Markle's two wedding gowns, another color is en vogue this month for the British monarchy: Green.

For Markle's and Prince Harry's wedding, Queen Elizabeth II donned a gorgeous green coat over a floral dress with green and purple flowers, as well as a green hat with purple adornments. And that color choice could have very well been an intentional move. “Green is the color of growth and rebirth. A person who wears green is the regulator and open-hearted. Green is a highly significant color worn as a sign of respect and intention for the future," says June McLeod, color consultant and author of Colour Psychology Today to GoodHousekeeping.com.

Then, a few short days later, Camilla Parker Bowles sported a gorgeous mint green coat dress for Prince Charles', Prince of Wales, 70th birthday patronage celebration yesterday.
