OAK HILL, WV (WVNS) — The second annual Color Dash for Hope is coming up this Saturday at ACE Adventure Resort in Fayette County.

The 5-K will take you throughout ACE’s 2000 acres – all for a great cause.
Proceeds from the race will go to benefit Hope in the Hills, an organization that promotes recovery and healing in Appalachia.
Dave Lavender, Board President and Treasurer for the organization, said the Color Dash is so much more than a fundraiser.
“With Healing Appalachia, Hope in the Hills, you know, we try to use music, we try to use art, we try to use gatherings like this around good, healthy things like exercise to let people know that we’re all in this together, these are our brothers and sisters,” said Lavender.
Lavender wants to promote education and understanding with the Color Dash.
He said in order to help those afflicted by substance use disorder, we all need to be involved and be active in assistance.
The Color Dash for Hope will start at 10 in the morning on Saturday – registration is still open to everyone who would like to participate.
