Coco Jones Shines on the Grammys Red Carpet in a Shimmering transparent Gown
R&B singer Coco Jones has arrived at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, and she looked stunning in a shimmering gown by Celia Kritharioti. The transparent baby blue dress featured a deep, scooping V-neck which revealed her Swarovski x SKIMS body chain. Her hair was swept up into a classy updo, and her makeup was simple but glowing.
This is Jones’ first time being nominated for Grammys, and she received an impressive five: Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Simple,” Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for “ICU,” Best R&B Album for What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe), and Best New Artist. This is the a big night for her because so far, the star won a golden gramophone for Best R&B performance.
On February 2, Jones sat down with Billboard to speak about attending her first Grammy Awards ceremony as a nominee.
“The Grammys are just a very respected group of people who earned their voice and their credits and credentials,” she said. “To me, I respect everyone who is nominated and decides because I just feel like the Grammys also help up-and-coming [artists and creatives]. For them to recognize the work that I’m doing, it just feels very affirming.”
“When I first learned I was nominated, I was on the plane,” she recalled. “I definitely was asleep. My phone was vibrating so much, I was like, ‘This turbulence is crazy!’ But what I realized was, everyone was texting me congratulations.”
