Close Up: The Machines for Freedom Horizons Collection
The Machines for Freedom Horizons Collection consists of a jersey, two caps, and a vest for chilly rides.
The Horizons Print jersey ($175; S-XL) has a sleek and flattering fit. The silky fabric is smooth and compressive; the design, simple and impeccably tailored—shoulder darts make the sleeves fit like a second skin. The stunning abstract print, in shades of gray, purple, and green, with zig-zags of orange, is a misty watercolor sunrise.
The Galaxie Wind Vest ($160; XXS-XL) is a beautiful new addition to the lineup: a satiny black gilet with a mesh back panel, a high collar, and two substantial rear pockets (who doesn’t love pockets on a vest?). A subtle galaxy print on the shoulder panels suggests, perhaps, that a ride can take you past the horizon. Indeed, the website says: “The Horizons print celebrates going beyond your comfort zone, tackling higher peaks, and being rewarded with even more epic vistas.”

And the Horizon Caps ($30; S-M), they’re adorable—choose minty green or lavender, or both.
Notes on size: I wear a medium in the jersey and it fits snugly, but I sized down to a small in the vest.
