Clare Crawley’s Ex-Fiancé Says Leaving ’The Bachelorette’ Wasn’t Her Decision
Clare Crawley’s ex-fiancé, Benoit Beausejour-Savard, says leaving The Bachelorette wasn’t her decision.
Benoit recently spoke with Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti on their Almost Famous podcast about Clare’s season.
Clare Crawley’s dramatic Bachelorette departure is raising a lot of questions throughout Bachelor Nation. She’s been Liking tweets hinting that producers forced her out, but Chris Harrison shut down those claims. Now, Clare’s ex-fiancé, Benoit Beausejour-Savard (who proposed after The Bachelor Winter Games), says that he doesn’t think leaving was her “ultimate decision.”
While chatting Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti on their Almost Famous podcast, he spilled his real thoughts about Clare’s, cough, Tayshia’s season. "“She has some good qualities....Right now, what we’ve seen, it’s only [the] drama part,” he said. “Clare is a really deep person. She likes to get to know you on a really deeper level, which is not showing at all.”
He continued, “I would say this is not the Clare that I know. Put yourself into her shoes, you’re doing quarantine in a resort. This show’s a bit [of a] mindf*ck, you’ve been there, it’s a lot to manage and I feel like at some point maybe she was overwhelmed by all this. She felt super strong feelings with Dale [Moss] and then this whole thing played out....There’s a little difference in the Clare that is shown on TV than the Clare that I know in real life.”
Clare is going to leave the show and by the looks of recent promos, we’ll see her departure on Thursday, November 5. The rumor is that Clare and front-runner Dale ran off together and got engaged (!!!), so producers brought in Tayshia in to be the new Bachelorette. The only question is: “Was that the plan all along?”
