Christopher Nolan Reveals That His Peloton Instructor Slammed Tenet
It's been a strange 48 hours in the Peloton community, as Christopher Nolan accepted an award for Best Director at the New York Film Critic's Circle awards on Wednesday night for his work on Oppenheimer.
What has Nolan got to do with exercise equipment, you ask? Well, the director revealed during his acceptance speech that while he was taking a Peloton class, "the instructor started talking about one of [his] films and said, 'Did anyone else see this because that's a couple of hours of my life I'll never get back'".
The internet then tracked down the clip of the instructor, where you can see her discuss Tenet, saying, "I need a manual, someone's gotta explain this... what the fuck was going on in that movie?"
If the whole saga wasn't already hilarious, the Peloton instructor, Jenn Sherman, responded last night, saying, "I have seen Oppenheimer twice. That's 6 hours of my life that I don't ever want to give back".
Sherman then said, "Mr. Nolan, I'm inviting you to come for a ride with me in the Peloton studio. You can critique my class. You'll have a great time. You'll sit in the front row. And I promise you it'll be insult-free."
Will there be a third chapter to the story? Will Nolan take Sherman up on the offer? Let's wait and see.
