Good Girls actress Christina Hendricks has reached her limit and we totally understand why.
Those who follow Christina on Instagram know that the 46-year-old actress enjoys renovating spaces and putting her own flair to them. Her skills range from leading a stunning bathroom makeover to putting the finishing touches on an abstract gallery wall. That said, it came as a surprise to Christina’s fans when she shared a video and photos of her latest renovation project for her home on August 13. Turns out, this particular project hasn't gone according to plan.
“Progress???? Absolutely no progress,” she wrote. “I need advice guys…..my contractor has had this project since last October. #remodelhell #desperate #craftsmanremodel.”
In a 26-second clip, Christina candidly spoke about how she felt while surveying the house, which appeared to have both torn and bare walls with construction equipment scattered throughout. “I just thought I’d share the progress on the house, which is none. There is no progress,” she said. “This is what happens when your contractor lies to you over and over and over and over and over. You guys, I’m so stressed.”
After seeing why Christina was upset, fans rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts about what her next steps should be. Others also offered thoughtful words of support and encouragement.
“Whaaaaat?!? Get a new contractor,” one person wrote. “Change contractors, and request a refund,” another added. “Try new workers, have patience and we all know it will end up amazing as everything you work on. ??,” a different fan said. “Don’t stress, you will get there eventually ??,” a follower commented.
Back in early January, Christina excitedly announced that she was beginning this particular renovation project.
“I bought a house! And I’m going to renovate this 1908 craftsman from head to toe!!!” she wrote. “I’m scared, I cannot lie but so excited to design every little inch. My wonderful friend @beverlyhillsorganizer is going to design the layout and I’ll do all the aesthetic design. It’s going to be a beauty! Wish me luck. Im gonna need it.”
A few months later, in late May, she posted a video sharing how the house was coming along. She captioned it, “Welcome to my nightmare.” In the snippet, the Emmy nominee asked her followers for their take on the situation.
“Just a little update on the construction of my house. How do you guys think it’s going on a scale of one to 10? Looking good, right? No.”
Here’s hoping that progress starts to pick up soon, because we can’t wait to see how Christina transforms the property.
