Chrissy Teigen's Son Miles Just Said His First Word and We're Melting
Chrissy Teigen just shared an incredibly sweet video of her baby son, Miles, saying his first words.
In the video Teigen posted to Instagram Thursday, Miles can be seen repeatedly saying "Yeah!" in response to a question from his grandma, Vilailuck Teigen.
Teigen recently predicted that Miles would take his first steps in Italy, where the family have been vacationing this summer.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's one-year-old son Miles just uttered his official first word, and the video footage is as heartbreakingly cute as you'd imagine. In a video Teigen shared via Instagram on Thursday, Miles can be seen repeatedly saying "Yeah!" in response to his grandma Vilailuck Teigen, who asked him whether he loves his mom, his dad, and his older sister Luna, 3.
“When your first word is ‘yeah!’” Teigen captioned the adorable video. And if she has her way, this could be the first of several milestones for Miles this summer. Two weeks ago, Teigen predicted via Instagram that her son would take his first steps across the pond.
"I think someone’s gonna take his first steps in Italy! oh dear," Teigen wrote alongside a sweet photo of Miles crawling energetically through a beautiful garden.
This isn't the first time Teigen has let us in on a milestone moment for her children. Back in March of 2017, her now three-year-old daughter Luna said her first word. That word, adorably, was "cat," and the moment was chronicled on Instagram.
Last month, Teigen opened up about her parenting style in an interview with OprahMag.com, revealing that the best parenting rule she had learned from her own mom was "Talking to kids like they're not little babies. I think my mom has always been really good at being very honest and blunt with me, and I think that's why I grew up being the same way."
"There was no mystery around things," Teigen continued. "My mom was always really amazing at that, and we're very conscious of that with the kids. I don't think you need to do the 'parent lies' all the time."
