Chris Harrison Says a ‘Bachelor’ Reunion Might Fill the ‘Bachelorette’ Void
Bachelor Nation host Chris Harrison is opening up about what’s next for the popular dating franchise after Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette was put on hold due to coronavirus restrictions.
In a recent interview with Glamour, Harrison confirmed that production is delayed for The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. However, the 48-year-old host revealed that he’s working with ABC to ensure viewers aren’t left hanging.
“Believe me, I’m at the front of the line of people that are hopeful of keeping all of this alive,” he said. “[Bachelor creator] Mike Fleiss, [ABC senior vice president of alternative] Rob Mills, myself, and all the producers talk every other day, if not every day, about how we can create more and more content.”
Harrison went on to say that the possibilities are endless, adding, “We’re looking at all kinds of creative ways. Maybe it is a check-in or a reunion show, or maybe it’s creating some other type of show about The Bachelor that we can get on the air immediately.”
In the meantime, Harrison hopes The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart will keep viewers entertained until ABC resumes production. “The new show gives everybody a nice escape and a good break,” he continued.
If the withdrawal becomes too much to handle, at least we have Jason Mesnick’s season of The Bachelor, which is now streaming on Netflix.
