Chipotle’s Guac Recipe Couldn’t Be Easier to Make at Home
If you’ve ever headed straight to Chipotle postride for a heaping serving of their guacamole (who hasn’t?) you’ve probably wondered what type of magic that they put in there to make it taste so delicious. Well, now Chipotle has revealed its genius guac recipe so you can replicate it at home.
Chad Brauze, Chipotle’s executive chef, took to the brand’s Instagram Live to school the whole internet on Chipotle’s signature guac recipe. All you need is some avocados, limes, cilantro, red onion, jalape?o, and kosher salt. That’s about it! In case you prefer Twitter, you can find the full recipe there, too.

Chipotle Guac Recipe, a thread
Ingredients:
2 ripe Hass avocados
2 tsp lime juice
2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
1/4 cup red onion (diced)
1/2 jalape?o including seeds (diced)

This isn’t the first time Chipotle has revealed its guac recipe—it was on its website as recently as 2015 and it hasn’t changed—but this is the first time we’ve seen Chef Chad make the guac for himself on video so it’s way easier to follow along.
In case you’re already a master at Chipotle guac, Chef Chad also shared some recipes for some new dips like Superfood Guac, The Extra-est Guac, and Guac Ranch, just in case you feel like getting a little spicier.
