Chip Gaines Gets Backlash For The Most Hilarious Reason On Latest Photo Of Baby Crew's Car Seat

Chip Gaines is cooking up one heck of a Twitter debate!

The Fixer Upper alum, 43, and his wife Joanna, 40, have had their hands full since welcoming their fifth child, son Crew, in June. The couple have been sharing many of the highs and lows of parenting their baby boy, including sweet moments with his siblings, Drake, Ella, Duke, and Emmie Kay, lazy summer days cuddling, and late nights in the nursery. But Chip’s latest update has ignited quite a few opinions from fans—and for a hilariously relatable reason.

“If you’ve read my book #capitalGaines you know I’m NO child safety specialist, but even I know this can’t be a good place for a car seat,” Chip wrote on Tuesday alongside a photo of the empty carrier on top of a kitchen counter.

Though he’s seemingly trying to make a joke about leaving his newborn near the stove, his followers couldn’t get past the dish of baked goods sitting to the left of the baby essential.

“Forget about the car seat. Who cut that in the middle? Everyone knows you start at the corner,” one user responded. Another seemed to agree, “What car seat? I can’t get past the cake with no frosting AND it was cut in the middle! BLASPHEMY!!!!”

Although one Chip supporter responded saying it was likely cornbread, not a dessert, the woman still remained unimpressed. “What Texan makes cornbread not in a cast iron skillet?” she pondered.

Some joked about, “how mean it is to put a baby with no teeth by some delicious cornbread.” This Twitter writer, though, argues that as long as Crew is in the vicinity of his mom’s tasty treats, all will be well.

“Partner, I think if it is next to cake you’re always good.” We’d have to agree!
